Irrigation notice

The week of June 1, the Casper Municipal Golf Course experienced catastrophic pump failure of the Links Course pump station.  The pump was scheduled to be replaced later in the year.

The pump station is one of two located at the golf course which allow for the simultaneous irrigation of the Park, Highlands, and Links courses. Due to the pump failure, the Links course will need to be irrigated independently adding four hours to the normal overnight irrigation time.  Irrigation will now start around 8 p.m. and finish around 7 a.m.  Golf will continue as normal.

Evening Golfers: you may complete your round, however you should be cautious of sudden irrigation starts.
Morning Golfers: irrigation may not be complete by 7 a.m. please be cautious of sudden irrigation starts.

Golf course staff will be supplementing irrigation with daytime manual watering as well.  Due to a combination of warm days, wind, and irrigation water loss the course may not be as green as usual and some browning may occur.  The pump replacement is expected to take 45 days or more.
